How to promote your site?

Recently, more and more attention is paid to issues of website promotion, their optimization.

However, it will be much easier for you to control their work if you are familiar with the basic principles that optimize your site.

It is customary to distinguish between external optimization and internal. By internal optimization we mean all the settings that are directly related to the content of the site, its content, the volume of articles, the number of links, the structure of the code, etc.

Before starting work on website promotion, you need to create a list of key phrases that would reflect the essence of your site, talk about its direction and serve as potential user requests. Around these phrases the entire optimization mechanism will be built. The set of these phrases is called the semantic core of the site.

After the phrases are selected, you can begin to optimize the content. Here you need to remember the following rules.

Each page of the site is recommended to be optimized for no more than 5-6 different requests. In addition, it is desirable to achieve a certain density of repetition of these queries in the text. The optimum here is a level of 6-7%. It is also advisable to place the most important word combinations in certain tags in order to achieve the best effect when analyzing your site by search engines. These tags primarily include H1, H2, H3. So, if possible, keywords are best placed inside them. For bold text, it is best to use the STRONG tag, as it is search engines that prefer it when analyzing pages.

After the texts of articles are optimized, it would be nice to configure the entire structure of the site. The following tips should be noted here. It is desirable that the search robot could get access to any page of your site in no more than 3 clicks on the link. Thus, it is necessary to strive to simplify the structure of your site, which will ensure its better indexing. It is also necessary to indicate here that your main page index.html is the visiting card of your site, the page that search engines will spend the most time on. Therefore, the optimization of this page must be given the greatest time. You should not place any picture or banner in the header of the site, in this case, the pursuit of beauty, you lose the most effective placement of keywords.

External site optimization includes all methods of its promotion that are not related to the site itself and its contents. So, for example, all links from external sources that lead to your site are related to the external optimization section. It is important to achieve the following.

It is advisable that the sites from which you can go to your resource by reference are similar in theme to yours. In this case, search engines will perceive this as a sign of quality information. In addition, the more popular will be the sites from which links lead to your resource, the more they will bring. For example, a link from the official Microsoft website will be very valuable.

Now that we’ve talked about the main methods of optimizing our own site, it’s worthwhile to touch upon another important topic in this area – the so-called “gray methods” of promotion. By “gray” they mean methods that allow you to dramatically increase the popularity of your resource in the shortest possible time, while deceiving search robots. So, for example, using an invisible style for paragraphs or applying a text color identical to the background, you can place an unlimited number of key phrases on the site, without violating the perception for the average user. The site visitor will not see anything superfluous, and the search engine will correctly react to all words and phrases, since it works directly with the code.

Using gray methods of promotion, you can achieve success, but sooner or later, search engines will guess that you are deceiving them. Then your site will be transferred to the category of spam and you will never find any queries in Yandex lists.
