Why are internet games dangerous?
Today, once again, from my own experience, I was convinced that Internet games are evil. They do not allow you to relax, do not allow you to do something useful and interesting. In a word, they do not give the player the opportunity to live in the real world, breathe deeply, communicate with real people. They do not allow a person to grow and develop their abilities.
A person is able to raise the level of his heroes only in the game, but this does not affect his own real capabilities. More precisely, this is reflected negatively: a person does not have time to do what he has planned, often he may even not have enough time to fulfill his daily duties, not to mention the full satisfaction of his natural needs – in food, rest, communication.
In fact, why are we talking about online games? If you can exit a regular game at any time, then there is a competitive moment in an online game, and often people join in groups, so you can exit only when the mission ends and the group leader dismisses the players, but before that he will indicate the date and time of the next game . It turns out a kind of sect of people who every day at the same time should be collected from the computer, regardless of the circumstances of their personal lives.
For people who are addicted and gambling, getting into the trap of an online game is easy enough. But getting out of it without outside help is very difficult, for some it is almost impossible. This is probably akin to drug addiction, or as difficult as quitting for some. As one of my acquaintances put it: “I understood the main thing – after failure a break-up occurs.”
Online games are the drugs of the 21st century. When you observe for a long time with your own eyes a person involved in a game, you just cannot understand: what did he find there? Why does he sit at the same toy every day? How can he get angry and annoyed and generally experience any negative emotions from the game. I want to tell him:
“Hey, relax, it’s just a game!”
But he does not understand. He was already drawn in, mired in this game, as in a swamp. Well, why? He is already at level 14! There are still some 11 levels left, and this game will end. But the fact is that only this game will end. And then another begins, and everything from the beginning.
Psychologists have long noted that those whose lives are not burdened by family worries tend to play games – they are lonely people. They do not have a serious relationship, they are often not inclined to realize what they live for, go to work. And some of them have already been “scored” for work, so that nothing would interfere with the “big game” that has taken their whole lives hostage.
These people have an unenviable fate: someday they will look around and realize that they have not achieved anything in their life. And even if at first they had some interests and aspirations, then over time they abandoned them. And all that they have left in this life is a computer and a good set of toys.
Such people can play for hours, interrupting only for sleep, a snack at the monitor and jogging to the toilet and back. Their day ends when they have completely passed the next level, the change of day and night is no longer important for them. Therefore, like party-goers spending all the time in night clubs, gamers can go to bed when it is already dawn, and wake up in the evening. They do not pay attention to what they eat during the day, and can generally limit themselves to two sandwiches and a couple of cups of tea per day, which, in turn, leads to exhaustion and hypovitaminosis.
They rarely go out, so there is a lack of vitamin D. Yes, and why should they go somewhere, because now you can buy products and things via the Internet. Thus, over time, a person desocializes, he has phobias. He is afraid to leave the house, afraid of a large crowd of people.
Some people can overcome this pernicious addiction to online games on their own, while others need help. If there are some among your friends, you can help them, do not pass by!
True, gamers are so passionate about the game process that they tend to not notice people speaking to them with words. At the time of the game, they are completely “disconnected” from the outside world, therefore extraneous external irritants, such as your rantings, can be perceived aggressively at this moment. Not because they are opposed to you, but because you are a distraction. Therefore, talking to the player at the time of the game is useless – he will not hear you, not that he will not understand.
So, to start the gamer, you need to “disconnect” from the computer, and for a very long time, at least a week. So that he could feel his presence in the real world. It’s pointless to read notations and learn to live. A person takes seriously only what he comes to with his own mind. So just show him that real life is much more interesting than computer.
